30 Years of Impact: FLO Chennai Launches Commemorative Book ‘Pride of FLO’

Chennai, 17th July 2023:
FICCI Ladies Organisation ( FLO) Chennai, founded by our distinguished Past President, Ms Indira Dutt in 1993, is an organisation of eminent women where the membership profile includes entrepreneurs, businesswomen, homeprenuer, with approximately 550 members. FLO is a national body headquartered in Delhi with a membership of over 10,000 members in 19 States and through its various chapters promotes empowerment and skilling in women from all strata of society.
“Our Pride Of FLO Chennai event, living up to its title is an event where we take Pride in celebrating 30 years of FLO Chennai where the organisation under the illustrious and distinguished leadership of Past Presidents and Past Chairpersons, and through its various initiatives and projects has impacted the lives of over 4 lakh women from all strata of society including rural villages. FLO initiatives include upskilling women to earn an independent livelihood, enabling school drops to get placements and supporting differently abled women to find gainful employment.
We also take Pride in acknowledging that we have had 5 National Presidents including the current FLO National President Ms. Sudha Shivkumar hailing from Chennai Chapter. All these esteemed women have through their vision and commitment created and continue to have tremendous impact for women empowerment.

As the 30th chairperson, I, along with my dedicated Executive Committee members, Vertical Heads, working Committee and membership, take pride in facilitating our Past Chairpersons who have laid the foundation for our organisation. It only seemed befitting to celebrate the accomplishments of our chapter at the Leela Palace amongst the exalted company of all the dignitaries by launching our book – Pride of FLO,” said Raji RajuMs Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha graced the momentous celebration as the Chief guest. The Guest of Honor for the event was Ms Sudha Shivkumar, who was honored for her contribution.
Dr GSK Velu, FICCI President of Tamil Nadu is the special guests for the event.
