Football+ Summit Unveiled: Brazil FIFA World Cup Legends to Inspire Indian Football

Chennai, Tamil Nadu – In a historic moment for Indian football, Football Plus Academy, in collaboration with Brazil Sports Academy, today announced the launch of the Football+ Summit, set to take place in Chennai on 31st March and 1st April 2025. The event promises to bring global football icons, industry leaders, and stakeholders together to inspire, educate, and chart the future of football in India.
The press conference, held at ITC Chola, announced the participation of Brazil’s legendary FIFA World Cup-winning team members, including Dunga, Rivaldo, Kleberson, Edmilson, and Giovanni. These football legends, some of whom were instrumental in Brazil’s iconic 2002 World Cup victory, will engage with the Indian football community through keynotes, panel discussions, and workshops during the Summit.
David Anand, Founder of Football Plus Academy, shared his vision for the Summit:
“The Football+ Summit is not just an event—it’s a movement that bridges gaps in football development, inspires young talent, and fosters global collaboration. By bringing legends like Dunga, Rivaldo, and others to India, we aim to create a platform that redefines the possibilities for Indian football, from grassroots to the professional stage.”
Representatives (Ricardo Xiemenes & Marcelo Fernandes) from Brazil Sports Academy echoed this sentiment, with one delegate stating:
“Brazil and India share a deep love for football, and this collaboration marks a unique opportunity to inspire and mentor aspiring talent. India has immense potential, and we are thrilled to be part of this transformative journey.” He added, “Apart from the five players, we are waiting to confirm the inclusion of Ronaldinho, Kaka, Roberto Carlos, Ze Carlos, Juilo Cesar, Lucio, Gilberto, Sergio, Mineiro, Viola, Cafu and O Fenômeno.”
