Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus hosted a grand felicitation ceremony in honour of the Padma Shri awardees, Smt. Saalumarada Thimmakka, Saviour of Green Gold, Smt. Tulsi Gowda, Encyclopedia of Forest, Dr. Gayathri Sankaran, renowned Vocalist, Selvi. Yogadharshini, youngest Jallikkattu trainer on the occasion of International Women’s Day in the school campus on March 5, 2022.
The glamorous occasion started with a prayer song. Taking ahead this festivity the awardees were felicitated with pride and joy by the Academic Director Smt. Jayanthy Rajagopalan and Senior Principal Shri K.S. Ponmathi. An Interactive Session with the guests was indeed a privileged opportunity for the students as it was informative and encouraged and inspired several thousands of Velammalians on how one can contribute to the society and national interest.
This unique ceremony, an initiative by Velammal Main Campus accolades the women Dynamos a collective appreciation with the gesture ‘We are proud of you’.
