The Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Chennai and Russian House in Chennai in association with UGC – Center for South and Southeast Asian Studies (CSSEAS), School of Political and International Studies, University of Madras conducted a discussion between expert panellists on the role of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). The event took place at Russian House, Chennai on 25 November 2021 at 11am.

Vasan (Retd.), Director, Centre for China Studies, Chennai• Air Marshall Matheswaran (Retd.), The Peninsula Foundation• Colonel Muruganantham (Retd.), Veteran and Defence Analyst, Indian Army
The program included a discussion on the powers of the UNSC and its members, the need for international peace and security, crises and regional disputes, strategies and foreign policy measures taken by members to resolve disputes and much more. The audience included scholars, researchers and journalists who are encouraged to participate in a healthy and active discussion with the panellists.
The event was held in the Exhibition Hall at Russian House in Chennai on 25 November 2021 at 11 am. The event was open to public.
